The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 19th minute, one of Moncuaba:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Moncuaba. Adhemar Travassos hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Kmex Csersona's João Paulo Dantas tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristóvão Ribeiro got free with William Alvarenga in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edmundo Branco struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Dinei Albuquerque didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kmex Csersona. In the 39thth minute of the game Manoel Mangueira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Moncuaba's Dinei Albuquerque was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 41st minute, Edmundo Branco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kmex Csersona fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2.

The wind increased when Cristóvão Ribeiro made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Kmex Csersona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betinho Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the match, Edmundo Branco notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Moncuaba's Dinei Albuquerque. Dinei Albuquerque was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. William Alvarenga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristóvão Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute, Olívio Abraão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lenílson Massa's late challenge caught a Moncuaba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lenílson Massa helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Moncuaba booed when Kmex Csersona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lenílson Massa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78thth minute of the game Manoel Mangueira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Moncuaba's Dinei Albuquerque was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Manoel Mangueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Dinei Albuquerque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had been going on for 89 minutes, Kmex Csersona's João Paulo Dantas got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Dinei Albuquerque. Moncuaba's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Lenílson Massa scored to the left of an out of position Dinei Albuquerque, making the score, 0-6. If Manoel Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Manoel Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinei Albuquerque having to interfere. Kmex Csersona's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
