In the 17th minute, Breno Cordeiro made a precise shot to the right of Lino Dante. Arvoresinha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. If Breno Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Breno Cordeiro to make the kick off. Asgeir Gjelstad's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lino Dante read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Leopoldo Arruda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Otávio Lopez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lino Dante having to make a save. Sampdor's Asgeir Gjelstad got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Breno Cordeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lino Dante was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Breno Cordeiro in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lino Dante prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Breno Cordeiro put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Lino Dante. When Nico Félix fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arvoresinha's protests and gave Nico Félix a yellow card for diving instead. After 82 played minutes Arvoresinha got a freekick which was hit by Nico Félix. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 90 minutes into the match, Sampdor's Asgeir Gjelstad sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lino Dante narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sampdor's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Vivaldo Cavalcante 92 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-1. When Breno Cordeiro got free in front of the goal in the 97th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Lino Dante was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar.
