After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Felippe Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot. Minervinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Felippe Mota was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Durval Albuquerque breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ulisses Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fellipe Camargo in the 7th minute of the match. Silas Linhares charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silas Linhares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of Minervinho:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Relogio EC:s goal. Caetano Torres shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 15th minute Breno de Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulisses Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulisses Fernandez came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Relogio EC's Fellipe Camargo. But to his dismay, Fellipe Camargo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ulisses Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fellipe Camargo in the 21st minute of the match. Fellipe Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulisses Fernandez having to interfere. In the 24th match minute, Minervinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antônio Chaves to maneuver through the defense. Nelsinho Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval Albuquerque having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breno de Sousa in the 33rd minute of play forced Minervinho's goalkeeper Ulisses Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fellipe Camargo during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fellipe Camargo hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Fellipe Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulisses Fernandez having to interfere. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Breno de Sousa made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Víktor Luz during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Minervinho getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Víktor Luz hit a great ball. Minervinho's Ulisses Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breno de Sousa in the 62nd minute of play. Nelsinho Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval Albuquerque having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fellipe Camargo got free with Ulisses Fernandez in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 76thth minute of the game Nelsinho Rodrigues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Relogio EC's Durval Albuquerque was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Relogio EC's zone, Felippe Mota stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Durval Albuquerque came out of the goal and Felippe Mota tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Minervinho getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Luiz Fabiano Mesquita hit a great ball. Fellipe Camargo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Minervinho's Ulisses Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breno de Sousa in the 86th minute of play. Ulisses Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breno de Sousa in the 88th minute of play. In the 93rd match minute, Minervinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antônio Chaves to maneuver through the defense. Relogio EC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
