William Lopes, 11 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, Solemar AD's Ramiro Macedo got a free kick in the 15th minute. Ismael Braga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Faustão Paranaense. Solemar AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Faustão Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Ramos in the 29th minute of play. After 38 minutes of play, AC Poker's Jaime de Lara made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Faustão Paranaense was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind AC Poker's goalkeeper Manoel Paraibano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Haroldo Ramos was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Solemar AD's zone, Haroldo Ramos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faustão Paranaense came out of the goal and Haroldo Ramos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 55 played minutes, AC Poker's Dário Alvarenga shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Faustão Paranaense came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AC Poker reached it. After a defensive mix-up in AC Poker's zone, Júlio Coutinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manoel Paraibano came out of the goal and Júlio Coutinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Faustão Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Ramos in the 62nd minute of the match. Jaime de Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustão Paranaense having to interfere. Faustão Paranaense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime de Lara in the 66th minute. 69 minutes into the match, AC Poker's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Coutinho came free, but Manoel Paraibano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
