In the 21stth minute of the game Frederico Arósio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atletico G. A.'s Vinícius Martins was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that João Vieira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vinícius Martins was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. The supporters of Atletico G. A. booed when Meriruma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erivaldo Albuquerque didn't get a good kick on the ball.
