Armando Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Korneliusz Grocholski having to interfere. Faustão Netto's late challenge caught a Whiplash Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Faustão Netto helped the player get up and apologised. Faustão Netto hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. A collision led to POWER GIRLS F.C. getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Armando Correia hit a great ball. Elano Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Filipe Zilles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elano Fontes took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Filipe Zilles. Filipe Zilles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Armando Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Whiplash Football Club's zone, Armando Correia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Korneliusz Grocholski came out of the goal and Armando Correia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the match, POWER GIRLS F.C.'s Nando Castro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Korneliusz Grocholski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustão Netto in the 30th minute of play forced Whiplash Football Club's goalkeeper Korneliusz Grocholski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Whiplash Football Club's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Armando Correia fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Armando Correia came free with the goalkeeper in the 35th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Korneliusz Grocholski could save by the left post. In the 36th minute Christian Bastos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Korneliusz Grocholski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armando Correia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 40 minutes into the game, Nando Castro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. POWER GIRLS F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Whiplash Football Club the free kick. After 41 played minutes POWER GIRLS F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Nando Castro. A sloppy throw-in by Hernani Vasconcelos in the 45th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by POWER GIRLS F.C.'s Willian Fontes. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

With his leg Filipe Zilles managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Whiplash Football Club's Evandro Carvalho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Elano Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Korneliusz Grocholski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armando Correia went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Evandro Carvalho sped through POWER GIRLS F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Filipe Zilles. POWER GIRLS F.C.'s Filipe Zilles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elano Fontes in the 68th minute of play. Korneliusz Grocholski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Correia in the 71st minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Whiplash Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Correia came free, but Korneliusz Grocholski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, Olívio Favoretto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Armando Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Christian Bastos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Armando Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Korneliusz Grocholski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filipe Zilles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cláudio Paraíba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Whiplash Football Club's Dedé de Queiroz got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Korneliusz Grocholski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christian Bastos went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the POWER GIRLS F.C. players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
