Spectators: 7310 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 145) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ademar Bueno kicked off to start the match. 6 minutes into the match, Sao Paulo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo Tande came free, but Thomás Sampaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nelson Souto hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. When Evaristo Tande came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Amigos do Rodiney fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evaristo Tande couldn't finish the play. In the 12th minute of the match Paulo Renato Linares shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kléberson Guerra showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 16th minute, Aurelio Emery left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sao Paulo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After a rather tough play, Sao Paulo FC's Rigoberto Alcalde got a free kick in the 20th minute. Evaristo Tande recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Evaristo Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomás Sampaio having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Clóvis Negri made a precise shot to the right of Kléberson Guerra. Amigos do Rodiney's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Aurelio Emery managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sao Paulo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurelio Emery was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kléberson Guerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thomás Sampaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo Tande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sao Paulo FC's Aurelio Emery got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 41 minutes into the game, Aurelio Emery lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Kléberson Guerra. In the 45th minute, Aurelio Emery ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kléberson Guerra was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Kléberson Guerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Emery, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. If Clóvis Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thomás Sampaio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Evaristo Tande in the 55th minute. When Nelson Souto fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sao Paulo FC's protests and gave Nelson Souto a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Amigos do Rodiney booed when Sao Paulo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelson Souto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, Aurelio Emery got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joel Elixio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kléberson Guerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Emery, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Aurelio Emery took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kléberson Guerra. Kléberson Guerra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 76th minute, Aurelio Emery ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kléberson Guerra was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Kléberson Guerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Emery, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kléberson Guerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Emery in the 85th minute of play. Amigos do Rodiney's Kléberson Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clóvis Negri in the 89th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Aurelio Emery put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Kléberson Guerra. Evaristo Tande could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Thomás Sampaio made a huge save. When the referee ended the match the Sao Paulo FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
