Gabriel Dudley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walmyr Favoretto in the 6th minute of play. If Kurt Lambert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CORINTHIANS's Gabriel Dudley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doni Santos in the 11th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Walmyr Favoretto in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabriel Dudley saved CORINTHIANS from getting behind. Kurt Lambert might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rubens de Alcântara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kurt Lambert ran back to his position shaking his head. Kurt Lambert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubens de Alcântara having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Uni Souza Futebol Clube's Eriberto Simões got a free kick in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmyr Favoretto in the 33rd minute of play forced CORINTHIANS's goalkeeper Gabriel Dudley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CORINTHIANS's Gabriel Dudley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmyr Favoretto in the 35th minute of play. In the 37th minute of the match Eriberto Simões sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gabriel Dudley skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, CORINTHIANS's Kurt Lambert got a free kick in the 40th minute. Gabriel Dudley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doni Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doni Santos in the 44th minute of play forced CORINTHIANS's goalkeeper Gabriel Dudley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Flávio Perez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rubens de Alcântara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Walmyr Favoretto took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Gabriel Dudley to make any attempt to save it. 73 minutes into the game, Flávio Perez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CORINTHIANS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uni Souza Futebol Clube the free kick. After 73 played minutes CORINTHIANS got a freekick which was hit by Flávio Perez. CORINTHIANS's Gabriel Dudley proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save CORINTHIANS from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Paulo Barral during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Uni Souza Futebol Clube booed when CORINTHIANS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Paulo Barral didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute Kurt Lambert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubens de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luisão Veloso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rubens de Alcântara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Flávio Perez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. CORINTHIANS's Kurt Lambert got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rubens de Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flávio Perez in the 90th minute of play. Kurt Lambert struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Rubens de Alcântara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CORINTHIANS.
