An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Melo in the 24th minute of play forced Chiapetta's goalkeeper Tales Guerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albertinho Leão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonel da Mata having to make a save. Enrique Sá might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tales Guerra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enrique Sá ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 35th minute, Iupeba AD's Luiz Melo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tales Guerra. Tales Guerra yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Enrique Sá in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tales Guerra, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Enrique Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Tales Guerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Albertinho Leão made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Chiapetta's Gil Severo got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 56 played minutes Albertinho Leão rounded Iupeba AD's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. In the 63rd match minute, Chiapetta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilvan Pena to maneuver through the defense. Enrique Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tales Guerra having to interfere. Luiz Melo struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Tales Guerra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iupeba AD. In the 77th minute of the match Iupeba AD got a corner. Chiapetta's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elder Carneiro ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Enrique Sá came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Iupeba AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enrique Sá couldn't finish the play. If Luiz Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chiapetta's Tales Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Melo in the 82nd minute of play. Enrique Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Tales Guerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gil Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel da Mata having to interfere.
