After 5 played minutes, Guatapora EC's Fabrício Matorin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jairo Marinho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Guatapora EC reached it. Stig Harman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chico Marquez having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vito Pitta got free with Chico Marquez in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chico Marquez didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 17th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. In the 24th minute, Stig Harman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chico Marquez was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Vito Pitta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Belém Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Vito Pitta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chico Marquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 32 minutes into the match, Guatapora EC's goal looked a bit too open when Stig Harman came free, but Chico Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vito Pitta in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Chico Marquez saved Guatapora EC from getting behind. Gualter Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 43rdth minute of the game Stig Harman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guatapora EC's Chico Marquez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vito Pittas short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Chico Marquez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedrinho Moreira in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chico Marquez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Horácio Cerezo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Téo Faria hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute of the match Ramón Abila sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Chico Marquez skillfully saved the ball. Chico Marquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig Harman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vito Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chico Marquez having to interfere. After having played for 66 minutes, Vinícius Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guatapora EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vinícius Pires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd match minute, Guatapora EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualter Maranhense to maneuver through the defense. Chico Marquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedrinho Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edu Senna lost his temper 77 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 76 minutes into the game, one of Guatapora EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedrinho Moreira in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chico Marquez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Belém Boys's Vito Pitta got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 89 played minutes Guatapora EC got a freekick which was hit by Gualter Maranhense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrinho Moreira in the 97th minute of play forced Guatapora EC's goalkeeper Chico Marquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vito Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chico Marquez having to interfere. There was no doubt that Belém Boys were the better team. Belém Boys's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
