Armando Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Madureira in the 3rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomás Gerber in the 6th minute of play forced Segmanetas's goalkeeper Romário Marquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Segmanetas's goalkeeper Romário Marquez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 13th play minute Bruninho Saldanha came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Romário Marquez. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Segmanetas's Aníbal Linares got a free kick in the 30th minute. Ezequiel Gomes, 31 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Bruninho Saldanha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Estreito FC's Thomás Gerber got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Romário Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomás Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After a rather tough play, Segmanetas's Luís Moreira got a free kick in the 40th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christian Madureira made a kick off. When Bruninho Saldanha came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Estreito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruninho Saldanha couldn't finish the play. In the 61st minute Thomás Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romário Marquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 63 minutes, Bruninho Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estreito FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruninho Saldanha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thomás Gerber scored 3-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Romário Marquez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 68 minutes into the match, Segmanetas's Doni Neiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armando Mendes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 70 played minutes, Estreito FC's Samuca de Barros shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Romário Marquez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Estreito FC reached it. Romário Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomás Gerber in the 72nd minute of play. Bruninho Saldanha struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Romário Marquez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Estreito FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomás Gerber in the 76th minute of play forced Segmanetas's goalkeeper Romário Marquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elano Severo hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. When Bruninho Saldanha came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Estreito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruninho Saldanha couldn't finish the play. In the 85th minute of the match Estreito FC got a corner. Segmanetas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ezequiel Gomes ran over to the corner to take the kick. Estreito FC's Ezequiel Gomes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Romário Marquez in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thomás Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romário Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruninho Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
