Pojuquinha SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorginho Sanches was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pojuquinha SC's Fausto da Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Batista in the 24th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Pojuquinha SC's Ernani Nóbrega broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Júnior de Brito was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 30 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute, one of Pojuquinha SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pojuquinha SC. After 36 minutes of play, Pojuquinha SC's Tarcisio Fontes made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wesley Nogueira was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilson Simões in the 39th minute of play forced OFF's goalkeeper Wesley Nogueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tarcisio Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Wesley Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Pojuquinha SC's Tarcisio Fontes got a free kick in the 44th minute. Tarcisio Fontes stood ready after the free kick and tried to head the ball into the goal, but got pushed from behind by one of OFF's defenders and the ball went out. Pojuquinha SC appealed in vain for a penalty, the referee looked over at the linesman, but the flag stayed down. No Penalty. João Batista received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tarcisio Fontes was the one to do the kick off. In the 63rd minute, Ernani Nóbrega fired a really elegant long shot, but Wesley Nogueira threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Fausto da Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Tande in the 67th minute of play. Chants of Pojuquinha SC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as OFF had held the ball for most of the match.
