Edu Mineiro started the match with the kick off. Maurinho Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Santana, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. If Wellington Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliézer Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurinho Quirino having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Rafael Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Giga Mix F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael Santana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maurinho Quirino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wellington Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Luizão Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Giga Mix F.C's goalkeeper Luizão Sousa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wellington Marinho. Wellington Marinho scored 1-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luizão Sousa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when S. E. Triângulo's Edu Mineiro in the 33rd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Luizão Sousa was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Giga Mix F.C through an amazing save. Enio Tande kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 37th match minute, Giga Mix F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisinho Mendes to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute, Luisinho Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luizão Sousa was a little too slow when Edu Mineiro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 2-0. Enio Tande struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Maurinho Quirino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Giga Mix F.C. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliézer Medeiros was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the game, Rafael Santana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Maurinho Quirino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 62 minutes, Wellington Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S. E. Triângulo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wellington Marinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 72 played minutes S. E. Triângulo got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Baiano. Júlio Baptista kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Giga Mix F.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marcinho Cosme in the 79th minute. The corner led Giga Mix F.C's Marcinho Cosme to fire away a dangerous shot which Maurinho Quirino despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rafael Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rafael Santana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Maurinho Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Rodolfo Tróia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafael Santana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Maurinho Quirino made a huge save.
