Ismael de Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francisco Teixeira was a little too slow when Ismael de Senna got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 2-0. Perivaldo de Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Zé Pedro Sena took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Francisco Teixeira to make any attempt to save it. In the 28th minute, Ismael de Senna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grêmio Maringá fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Ismael de Sennas short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Francisco Teixeira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Zé Pedro Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ismael de Senna got free with Francisco Teixeira in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ismael de Senna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Francisco Teixeira made a huge save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Perivaldo de Moraes to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Edgard Messias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francisco Teixeira. Super Mengão's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgard Messias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. The supporters of Super Mengão booed when Grêmio Maringá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erivaldo Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Super Mengão's Francisco Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael de Senna in the 63rd minute of play. Francisco Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael de Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After 67 minutes Super Mengão's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Erivaldo Paiva who took care of the corner kick. In the 72nd minute Ismael de Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Super Mengão's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael de Senna came free, but Francisco Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ezequiel de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After 78 played minutes, Grêmio Maringá's Erivaldo Paiva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Francisco Teixeira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Grêmio Maringá reached it. After 82 minutes, Albertinho Custódio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Super Mengão and the Grêmio Maringá players grew even worse after the yellow card. Albertinho Custódio kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Ismael de Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Francisco Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Super Mengão's Francisco Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Pedro Sena in the 88th minute of play. Francisco Teixeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael de Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Grêmio Maringá players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
