The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Edgar Brito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Carlos de Mendonça's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Edgar Brito came out of the goal and Zé Carlos de Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 17 minutes, Egídio Ferraz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Funilandia and the CHUTE NO SACO F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th minute, Egídio Ferraz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nico Nascimento might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valdemar Arantes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nico Nascimento ran back to his position shaking his head. Nico Nascimento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valdemar Arantes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Funilandia's goalkeeper Valdemar Arantes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Fábio de Souza. In the 28th minute, Cláudio Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30thth minute of the game Kauan Gaspar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CHUTE NO SACO F.C.'s Edgar Brito was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Nico Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. CHUTE NO SACO F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Nico Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdemar Arantes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Moisés Rosado kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. The supporters of CHUTE NO SACO F.C. booed when Funilandia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adelino Sanches didn't get a good kick on the ball. Funilandia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Carlos de Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nico Nascimento made a kick off. Egídio Ferraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Edgar Brito, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Edgar Brito made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Kauan Gaspar sent off a good shot on target. Zé Carlos de Mendonça received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edgar Brito came out and tried to block the shot, but Zé Carlos de Mendonça slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 87th minute. After having played for 91 minutes, Kauan Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Funilandia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kauan Gaspar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Funilandia's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
