Spectators: 7170 (Terracing: 5379, Seating: 1649, VIP seats: 142) Camargo FC's Zeca Barbosa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pereba F C's Kiko Albuquerque played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeca Barbosa in the 3rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Camargo FC's zone, Vitório Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinho Tróia came out of the goal and Vitório Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valério Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Tróia having to interfere. If Valério Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Vitório Amorim left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pereba F C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Valério Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valério Mendes in the 34th minute of play forced Camargo FC's goalkeeper Claudinho Tróia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute Vitório Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Tróia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vitório Amorim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Claudinho Tróia having to make a save. 39 minutes into the game, Pereba F C's Valério Mendes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudinho Tróia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Vitório Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valério Mendes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Claudinho Tróia having to make a save. The Camargo FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pereba F C were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vitório Amorim to make the kick off. With a little luck, Camargo FC's Claudinho Tróia got control of the ball when Dino Cerezo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vitório Amorim might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudinho Tróia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vitório Amorim ran back to his position shaking his head. Vitório Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Claudinho Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kiko Albuquerque took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeca Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joélson Bertassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Kiko Albuquerque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Valério Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kiko Albuquerque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeca Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Zeca Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kiko Albuquerque having to interfere.
