Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 10 minutes into the game, Arto do Pasto's Walmyr de Andrade nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wiliam da Cunha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Arto do Pasto's Almir Marinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Guerra in the 13th minute of play. The supporters of Real brasil booed when Arto do Pasto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Pedro Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Real brasil's Álvaro Guerra got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Almir Marinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Washington Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Wiliam da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Zé Pedro Seco fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arto do Pasto's protests and gave Zé Pedro Seco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd minute, Zé Pedro Seco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 33 played minutes, Real brasil's Silas Rossi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Almir Marinho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Real brasil reached it. Real brasil's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Washington Ceresso scored to the left of an out of position Wiliam da Cunha, making the score, 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Washington Ceresso to strike the kick off in the second half. If Washington Ceresso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute, Luís Fabiano Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Álvaro Guerra took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Almir Marinho to make any attempt to save it. Álvaro Guerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Raimundo Brasil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Almir Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raimundo Brasil in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Almir Marinho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 74 minutes of play, Real brasil's Raimundo Brasil made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. When Washington Ceresso came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Arto do Pasto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Washington Ceresso couldn't finish the play. Wiliam da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Washington Ceresso in the 97th minute of play.
