Luziania SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tubibus SC the free kick. With a little luck, Luziania SC's Tostão Souza got control of the ball when Fabrício Andrade tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tostão Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bebeto Abreu in the 69th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Osvaldinho de Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luziania SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldinho de Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tubibus SC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
