Adelino Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percival Seco having to interfere. Percival Seco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Célio Lopes in the 5th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the game, Anderson Monteiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FootParty's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EC São Gabriel the free kick. When Ian Porto came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the FootParty fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ian Porto couldn't finish the play. FootParty's Percival Seco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Lara in the 17th minute of play. Adelino Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adelino Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percival Seco having to interfere. Marcos Trevisan charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcos Trevisan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to EC São Gabriel getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Marcos Trevisan hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, EC São Gabriel's Osmar da Fonseca got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute Célio Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percival Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to EC São Gabriel getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Célio Lopes hit a great ball. Adelino Lara took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Percival Seco. Percival Seco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Ian Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Percival Seco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adelino Lara in the 46th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ian Porto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcos Trevisan kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the FootParty defense, Adelino Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Percival Seco. The FootParty fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Percival Seco should have stopped the shot. Célio Lopes hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Adelino Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percival Seco having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in EC São Gabriel's zone, Ian Porto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lenílson de Andrade came out of the goal and Ian Porto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, EC São Gabriel's Valdomiro Abraão got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute Cássio Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lenílson de Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ian Porto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Adelino Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. EC São Gabriel's Lenílson de Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Porto in the 74th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oswaldo Velasco during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FootParty booed when EC São Gabriel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswaldo Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute, Matías Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Adelino Lara fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored EC São Gabriel's protests and gave Adelino Lara a yellow card for diving instead. After 83 played minutes EC São Gabriel got a freekick which was hit by Adelino Lara. EC São Gabriel's Lenílson de Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anderson Monteiro in the 85th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Ian Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot. FootParty's supporters rose to their feet, but Ian Porto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lenílson de Andrade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The EC São Gabriel players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
