Antônio Carlos Sanches was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 7th minute of the game. One of SOCIEDADE ESPORTIVA MATÃO:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of TheZacato:s goal. If Arí Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo José Loyola charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo José Loyola the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. TheZacato's Cláudio Rodrigues got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patrick França received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Geovânio Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, SOCIEDADE ESPORTIVA MATÃO's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Pimenta came free, but Antônio Carlos Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, TheZacato's Marcel Quintal got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute, Falcão Macedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SOCIEDADE ESPORTIVA MATÃO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 48th minute, Patrick França got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Geovânio Bertassi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arí Peres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, TheZacato's Anselmo Pimenta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antônio Carlos Sanches narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cláudio Rodrigues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Cláudio Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Anselmo Pimenta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulo José Loyola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Antônio Carlos Sanches tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 96 played minutes SOCIEDADE ESPORTIVA MATÃO got a freekick which was hit by Adalberto Freitas.
