Spectators: 7183 (Terracing: 5389, Seating: 1652, VIP seats: 142) Décio Ortiz started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th match minute, Magu SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Décio Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. Reginaldo Camargo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardinho Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Bernardinho Penha hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Benedito Neto made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Benjamim Gonçalves sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the match, Magu SC's Kléberson Silva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benedito Neto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardinho Penha in the 22nd minute of play forced Magu SC's goalkeeper Reginaldo Camargo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reginaldo Camargo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardinho Penha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kléberson Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedito Neto having to interfere. Décio Ortiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Benedito Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Décio Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedito Neto having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Váldson Esteves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernardinho Penha got free with Reginaldo Camargo in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Décio Ortiz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benedito Neto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rubens Quintal during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 66th minute, Rubens Quintal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kléberson Silva hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Décio Ortiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nico Lopes kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Rubens Quintal kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Décio Ortiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Magu SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Décio Ortiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benedito Neto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kléberson Silva struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Benedito Neto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Magu SC. Bernardinho Penha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reginaldo Camargo having to interfere. Reginaldo Camargo made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Bernardinho Penha sent off a good shot on target. Bernardinho Penha took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Reginaldo Camargo. Reginaldo Camargo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2.
