Germano Duarte hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Erik Schmidt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Gustavo Queirós having to interfere. In the 21st minute Chicão Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fabiano dos Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarbas Veloso scored 1-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luiz Fabiano dos Santos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Guilherme Vaz struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Luiz Fabiano dos Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MANOLÃO. The supporters of MANOLÃO booed when Guaxindiba AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natanael Chaves didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute Guilherme Vaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fabiano dos Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erik Schmidt couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute Gustavo Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Gustavo Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gustavo Gaúcho made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Germano Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luiz Fabiano dos Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivo Bueno in the 56th minute of the match. Elder Cearense charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elder Cearense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of MANOLÃO booed when Guaxindiba AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elder Cearense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Fabiano dos Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivo Bueno in the 65th minute of the match. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind MANOLÃO's goalkeeper Luiz Gustavo Queirós, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Cafu Prestes fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MANOLÃO's protests and gave Cafu Prestes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Guaxindiba AD booed when MANOLÃO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cafu Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Guilherme Vaz came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the MANOLÃO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guilherme Vaz couldn't finish the play. Ivo Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Gustavo Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guaxindiba AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustavo Gaúcho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Gustavo Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ivo Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Luiz Fabiano dos Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. MANOLÃO's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
