When Edgar de Sousa fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Irmãos Medeiros FC's protests and gave Edgar de Sousa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd match minute, Irmãos Medeiros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar de Sousa to maneuver through the defense. Laerte Baptista made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dieguinho Botelho in the 11th minute. If Dieguinho Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Moisés Hermes in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Laerte Baptista prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rony Vander in the 20th minute of play forced Atlético Marechal - FDFDF's goalkeeper César Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. César Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Vander in the 21st minute of the match. Dieguinho Botelho came free with the goalkeeper in the 28th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Laerte Baptista could save by the left post. If Moisés Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dieguinho Botelho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laerte Baptista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. After 34 played minutes Irmãos Medeiros FC got a freekick which was hit by Edgar de Sousa. 35 minutes into the match, Irmãos Medeiros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Moisés Hermes came free, but Laerte Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dieguinho Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laerte Baptista having to interfere. Irmãos Medeiros FC's Laerte Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moisés Hermes in the 40th minute of play. Moisés Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laerte Baptista having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Dieguinho Botelho scored 2-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Laerte Baptista, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Laerte Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Irmãos Medeiros FC's Laerte Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dieguinho Botelho in the 77th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Marechal - FDFDF's zone, Hílton Prata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. César Aguiar came out of the goal and Hílton Prata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Irmãos Medeiros FC's Laerte Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dieguinho Botelho in the 84th minute of play. Moisés Hermes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Laerte Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Irmãos Medeiros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Moisés Hermes came free, but Laerte Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atlético Marechal - FDFDF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
