Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Samuel Pinho made the kick off in the second half. Gualter Rossi was a little too slow when Bobbie Bobikov got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 1-3. Flamengo Paraibano's Yunus Akbora got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 85th minute Samuel Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lech Pahucki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gualter Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bobbie Bobikov in the 93rd minute of the match. Yunus Akbora could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Gualter Rossi made a huge save. Mauro Teles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Although Capivaras had been in control for most of the match, E. C. Flamengo Paraibano still came away with the win.
