The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Doni Prata during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lenílson Campidelis's late challenge caught a DIAMONDS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lenílson Campidelis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th minute there was a penalty for DIAMONDS. Michel Vinhas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hélio Félix. 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Afonso Sanches managed to get in a good position for a shot. ✦ Mr. Anonymous Team ✦'s supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Sanches was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th minute, Doni Prata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Afonso Sanches was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 24th minute. ✦ Mr. Anonymous Team ✦'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Doni Prata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hélio Félix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vivaldo Schmidt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 45 played minutes DIAMONDS got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Martins. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When Afonso Sanches came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the ✦ Mr. Anonymous Team ✦ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonso Sanches couldn't finish the play. Doni Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Doni Prata managed to get in a good position for a shot. ✦ Mr. Anonymous Team ✦'s supporters rose to their feet, but Doni Prata was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After having played for 74 minutes, Vivaldo Schmidt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DIAMONDS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vivaldo Schmidt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edgard Maranhense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hélio Félix came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by DIAMONDS's Edgard Maranhense. But to his dismay, Edgard Maranhense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Vivaldo Schmidt might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hélio Félix. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vivaldo Schmidt ran back to his position shaking his head. If Edgard Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zézinho Cardoso hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Edgard Maranhense's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Hélio Félix skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 93rd minute, Zézinho Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Michel Vinhas from long distance, 93 minutes into the match, got Hélio Félix's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Afonso Sanches managed to get in a good position for a shot. ✦ Mr. Anonymous Team ✦'s supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Sanches was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mathias Guimarães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The ✦ Mr. Anonymous Team ✦ supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching DIAMONDS's performance. The match ended with a win for DIAMONDS.
