After a rather tough play, Faisqueiro's Gabriel Ceresso got a free kick in the 6th minute. After 8 minutes, Igor Nunes made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Faisqueiro's Sandrinho Salgado tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gabriel Luz charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gabriel Luz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Faisqueiro booed when Mattinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Faisqueiro's Kiko França got a free kick in the 14th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Gabriel Luz notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Faisqueiro's Sandrinho Salgado. Sandrinho Salgado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Oséas Braga came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Mattinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oséas Braga couldn't finish the play. After 27 played minutes Faisqueiro got a freekick which was hit by Thiago Vasconcelos. If Oséas Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 31st minute Kiko França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Gabriel Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Igor Nunes struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Sandrinho Salgado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mattinha. Sandrinho Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Nunes in the 43rd minute of the match. Romário Damião hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Augusto Siqueira to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, José Augusto Siqueira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabriel Freire was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Igor Nunes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mattinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Nunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sandrinho Salgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Igor Nunes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Sandrinho Salgado made a huge save. Oséas Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Sandrinho Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kiko França charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kiko França the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 69 played minutes Faisqueiro got a freekick which was hit by Kiko França. Sandrinho Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. If Igor Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kiko França was shown his second yellow card after 75 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 76th match minute, Faisqueiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kiko França to maneuver through the defense. Sandrinho Salgado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Igor Nunes in the 77th minute. Igor Nuness short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Sandrinho Salgado to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mattinha's Igor Nunes was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 83rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Mattinha's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
