He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Faisqueiro reached it. Hélio Félix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kiko França, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 15th match minute, Faisqueiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Maranhense to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dênis Mazza during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to ✦ Mr. Anonymous Team ✦ getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Dênis Mazza hit a great ball. If Thiago Vasconcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in ✦ Mr. Anonymous Team ✦'s zone, Alexandre Maranhense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hélio Félix came out of the goal and Alexandre Maranhense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hélio Félix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kiko França in the 44th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Doni Prata made the kick off in the second half. Afonso Sanches struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Sandrinho Salgado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ✦ Mr. Anonymous Team ✦. Sandrinho Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doni Prata in the 55th minute of play. If Afonso Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 58 played minutes Faisqueiro got a freekick which was hit by Romário Damião. Sandrinho Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Doni Prata's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sandrinho Salgado was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Sandrinho Salgado came out of the goal and Afonso Sanches tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thiago Vasconcelos's late challenge caught a ✦ Mr. Anonymous Team ✦'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thiago Vasconcelos helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Faisqueiro getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Thiago Vasconcelos hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Faisqueiro's Thiago Vasconcelos got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Afonso Sanches sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doni Prata in the 86th minute of play forced Faisqueiro's goalkeeper Sandrinho Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute, Alexandre Maranhense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sandrinho Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doni Prata in the 92nd minute of the match. The Faisqueiro supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Faisqueiro would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
