If Cássio Peixoto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Enio Zanette who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Jano Loyola when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nildo Freitas during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jano Loyola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doriva Custódio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nildo Freitas hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Paulão Favoretto from long distance, 16 minutes into the match, got Jano Loyola's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 17 played minutes Real Sociedad got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Montenegro. 23 minutes into the match, Real Sociedad's goal looked a bit too open when Doriva Custódio came free, but Jano Loyola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nildo Cardoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio Peixoto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Real Sociedad's Joaquim Freitas suffered a sore thigh after 26 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 26 minutes, Emerson Godoi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DIABLOS RS F.C. and the Real Sociedad players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th match minute, DIABLOS RS F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emerson Godoi to maneuver through the defense. DIABLOS RS F.C.'s Nildo Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Peixoto in the 29th minute of play. Enio Zanette could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Jano Loyola made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doriva Custódio got free with Jano Loyola in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Enio Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jano Loyola having to interfere. After recieving a nice pass, DIABLOS RS F.C.'s Paulão Favoretto tried to score from far away in the 47th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cássio Peixoto to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Jânio Koehler reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nildo Cardoso. The goal made the score 0-1. Doriva Custódio took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jano Loyola. Jano Loyola dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Real Sociedad's Jano Loyola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enio Zanette in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Sociedad's goalkeeper Jano Loyola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind DIABLOS RS F.C.'s goalkeeper Nildo Cardoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cássio Peixoto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Adelino Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Sociedad's supporters rose to their feet, but Adelino Luz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nildo Cardoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 91 minutes, Cássio Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Sociedad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cássio Peixoto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute Enio Zanette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jano Loyola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. DIABLOS RS F.C.'s supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
