In the 17thth minute of the game João Augusto Braga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palestra Itália EC's Robinho Hoffmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute, João Augusto Braga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robinho Hoffmann was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Wilton Sergipano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiaguinho Cunha having to interfere. Naldo Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiaguinho Cunha having to interfere. João Augusto Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Guilherme Freire struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Augusto Braga couldn't finish the play. KarkaraCaucaiense City's Tiaguinho Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilton Sergipano in the 48th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilton Sergipano to make the kick off. When Dalmo Neto fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KarkaraCaucaiense City's protests and gave Dalmo Neto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 51st match minute, KarkaraCaucaiense City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmo Neto to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute, KarkaraCaucaiense City's João Augusto Braga ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Robinho Hoffmann. Robinho Hoffmann yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. With a little luck, Palestra Itália EC's Robinho Hoffmann got control of the ball when Luiz Guilherme Freire tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Ademar Rezende managed to get in a good position for a shot. KarkaraCaucaiense City's supporters rose to their feet, but Ademar Rezende was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robinho Hoffmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. João Augusto Braga received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Robinho Hoffmann came out and tried to block the shot, but João Augusto Braga slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joélson Amorim in the 74th minute of play forced Palestra Itália EC's goalkeeper Robinho Hoffmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Luiz Guilherme Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Robinho Hoffmann managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when KarkaraCaucaiense City's Luiz Guilherme Freire fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Palestra Itália EC's Olavo Dante got a free kick in the 84th minute. If Luiz Guilherme Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Robinho Hoffmann successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Palestra Itália EC's Robinho Hoffmann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Palestra Itália EC from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that João Augusto Braga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robinho Hoffmann was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Robinho Hoffmann was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and João Augusto Braga capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. João Augusto Braga really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. KarkaraCaucaiense City played a much better game than Palestra Itália EC and deserved their victory. The Palestra Itália EC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
