Spectators: 7240 (Terracing: 5432, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 143) AC Milan's Juan Matos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 7 minutes, Valdir Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Repushow F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdir Fontes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nando Brasil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Arthur de Queiroz made a huge save. After 11 minutes Repushow F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hernani Matos who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Hernani Matos got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Arthur de Queiroz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Matos in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arthur de Queiroz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arthur de Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Juan Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute, Renatinho Dantas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juan Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arthur de Queiroz having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Juan Matos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 31 played minutes AC Milan got a freekick which was hit by Sidnei Netto. After having played for 41 minutes, Nando Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Milan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nando Brasil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Juan Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. José de Souza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ciro do Valle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. José de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ciro do Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valdir Fontes to make the kick off. Nando Brasil blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arthur de Queiroz having to make a save. If Juan Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. José de Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José de Souza's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ciro do Valle firmly grabbed it by the left post. Valdir Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Ciro do Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvaldo Barbosa charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Osvaldo Barbosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Magno Sanches hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute, Valdemar Lopez fired a really elegant long shot, but Ciro do Valle threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. In the 87th minute Valdir Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro do Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Repushow F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Repushow F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
