Betão Almeida could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Carlos Augusto Mesquita made a huge save. Glauco Paranaense hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Valério Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Betão Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the game, Valério Melo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Carlos Augusto Mesquita. Valério Melo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Valério Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Augusto Mesquita having to interfere. In the 29th match minute, SC.Commanders was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aírton de Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. Arnaldo Correia kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Valério Melo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Augusto Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Tião Prestes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vista Alegre F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC.Commanders the free kick. The referee ignored SC.Commanders's protests and gave Delfim Linares a yellow card for diving instead. If Serginho Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute Geovani Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franklin Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Valério Melo came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Vista Alegre F.C fans jumped to their feet. In the 79thth minute of the game Betão Almeida who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC.Commanders's Carlos Augusto Mesquita was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. SC.Commanders's Carlos Augusto Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valério Melo in the 81st minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Vista Alegre F.C fully deserved thier win.
