Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dráuzio de Queiroz might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Josué Lira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dráuzio de Queiroz ran back to his position shaking his head. Reinaldo Loyola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. After 20 played minutes Cosmo EC got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Garcia. In the 21st minute Reinaldo Loyola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josué Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dráuzio de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Ronaldão Batista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the match, Cosmo EC's goal looked a bit too open when Reinaldo Loyola came free, but Josué Lira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reinaldo Loyola took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Josué Lira. Josué Lira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2.

In the 52nd minute, Cosmo EC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dráuzio de Queiroz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Reinaldo Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dráuzio de Queiroz in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Josué Lira saved Cosmo EC from getting behind. Caetano Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Dráuzio de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. In the 63rd minute, Cosmo EC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dráuzio de Queiroz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 64th minute, Reinaldo Loyola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dráuzio de Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Reinaldo Loyola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sephiroth FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Reinaldo Loyola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josué Lira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sephiroth FC's Dráuzio de Queiroz got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dráuzio Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dráuzio de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Josué Lira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cosmo EC's zone, Fabrício Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josué Lira came out of the goal and Fabrício Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reinaldo Loyola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Josué Lira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dráuzio de Queiroz got free with Josué Lira in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Josué Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinaldo Loyola, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. The audience was convinced that Reinaldo Loyola's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Josué Lira was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Dráuzio de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the last second Josué Lira throw himself and got hold of the ball when Reinaldo Loyola in the 96thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. When the match was over Sephiroth FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cosmo EC throughout the match.
