Nikos Stamatis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 4 minutes into the game, Paulo José Pirani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trinity's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eagles AC the free kick. Pedro Luís Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th match minute, Trinity was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo José Pirani to maneuver through the defense. When Eagles AC's Valdomiro Maranhense, in the 13th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Eagles AC. Miguel Ángel Russo came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Trinity's Denílson Santos. But to his dismay, Denílson Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 22nd minute Cleiton Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Ángel Russo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eagles AC's Miguel Ángel Russo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Ortiz in the 24th minute of play. If Valdomiro Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Flávio Fantini made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Alessandro Nóbrega sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Trinity's zone, Valdomiro Maranhense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flávio Fantini came out of the goal and Valdomiro Maranhense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the match, Eagles AC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo José Pirani came free, but Miguel Ángel Russo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nikos Stamatis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valdomiro Maranhense in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flávio Fantini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Miguel Ángel Russo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denílson Santos in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valdomiro Maranhense made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Trinity's Paulo José Pirani got a free kick in the 60th minute. Fabinho da Mata took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Flávio Fantini. Trinity's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 68 played minutes, Eagles AC's Fabinho da Mata shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Flávio Fantini came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Eagles AC reached it. Miguel Ángel Russo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denílson Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. A collision led to Trinity getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Washington Pimenta hit a great ball. Fabinho da Mata took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Flávio Fantini. Trinity's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 79th minute, Valdomiro Maranhense made a precise shot to the right of Flávio Fantini. Trinity's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Fabinho da Mata took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Flávio Fantini. Trinity's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 86th minute of the match Paulo José Pirani shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Miguel Ángel Russo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alessandro Ortiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Miguel Ángel Russo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 90 played minutes Trinity got a freekick which was hit by Cleiton Trigo. The audience was convinced that Valdomiro Maranhense's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flávio Fantini was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Trinity's Samuca Esteves got a free kick in the 95th minute. Eagles AC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
