Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Iriri's Jeremias de Moraes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Iriri's Murillo Lopez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jailson Sergipano in the 5th minute of play. In the 8th minute, one of Iriri:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Iriri. 10 minutes into the match, Jailson Sergipano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Murillo Lopez. Iriri's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jailson Sergipano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jeremias de Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jailson Sergipano struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Murillo Lopez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esporte Clube de Carmo. When Kaká Leão fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Iriri's protests and gave Kaká Leão a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Esporte Clube de Carmo booed when Iriri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaká Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Iriri's goal looked a bit too open when Jailson Sergipano came free, but Murillo Lopez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Esporte Clube de Carmo fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Esporte Clube de Carmo's Jailson Sergipano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jailson Sergipano took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Murillo Lopez. Murillo Lopez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Murillo Lopez came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Esporte Clube de Carmo's Conrado Pires. But to his dismay, Conrado Pires quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jailson Sergipano in the 40th minute of play forced Iriri's goalkeeper Murillo Lopez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Iriri defense, Cacá de Queirós kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Murillo Lopez. The Iriri fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Murillo Lopez should have stopped the shot. After the first half Esporte Clube de Carmo were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jailson Sergipano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Murillo Lopez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jailson Sergipano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 62 minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Jailson Sergipano notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Iriri's Murillo Lopez. Murillo Lopez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Jailson Sergipano put it in 0-8 from a short distance just to the right of Murillo Lopez. Jailson Sergipano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Murillo Lopez made a huge save. In the last second Murillo Lopez throw himself and got hold of the ball when Jailson Sergipano in the 90thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 91st minute, Erasmo Neto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Enio de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Betão Pimenta struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Murillo Lopez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esporte Clube de Carmo. Murillo Lopez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jailson Sergipano in the 95th minute of play. In the 97th minute Esporte Clube de Carmo were awarded a corner. Jailson Sergipano went to the cornerflag to take it. Esporte Clube de Carmo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
