Spectators: 7044 (Terracing: 5444, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) Marvolo F.C.'s Rômulo Velloso started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute of the match Marvolo F.C. got a corner. Seraph's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rômulo Velloso ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Jonathan Santos managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Olavo Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Jailson Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Seraph getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Abel Trevisan hit a great ball. Ulisses Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 10 played minutes Seraph got a freekick which was hit by Noel Nunes. Jailson Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelsinho Barreto in the 11th minute of the match. Rômulo Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Seraph defense, Rômulo Velloso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jailson Barral. The Seraph fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jailson Barral should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Ceresso in the 17th minute of play forced Marvolo F.C.'s goalkeeper Justin Vida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rômulo Velloso charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rômulo Velloso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th match minute, Marvolo F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rômulo Velloso to maneuver through the defense. Olavo Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Olavo Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Seraph's goal looked a bit too open when Rômulo Velloso came free, but Jailson Barral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norberto Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Rômulo Velloso might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jailson Barral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rômulo Velloso ran back to his position shaking his head. Jailson Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelsinho Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. If Tiburcio Orkatz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, Tiburcio Orkatz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jailson Barral. Seraph's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tiburcio Orkatz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a rather tough play, Marvolo F.C.'s Olavo Gonçalves got a free kick in the 39th minute. The Seraph players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Marvolo F.C. were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Artur Ceresso to make the kick off. When Seraph's Artur Ceresso in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Marvolo F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Olavo Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Jailson Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olavo Gonçalves in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jailson Barral saved Seraph from getting behind. Nelsinho Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rômulo Velloso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jailson Barral having to make a save. Norberto Carvalho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jailson Barral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Olavo Gonçalves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jailson Barral was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Jailson Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelsinho Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Noel Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Nelsinho Barreto came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Marvolo F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nelsinho Barreto couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Seraph getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Noel Nunes hit a great ball. Nelsinho Barreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jailson Barral having to interfere. A collision led to Seraph getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Dedé Aparecido hit a great ball. When the match was over Marvolo F.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Seraph throughout the match.
