Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nico Valadares in the 14th minute of play forced Canutama's goalkeeper Eurico Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, Ernesto Abraão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, Canutama's Davi Abraão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sidney de Queirós narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 21 minutes into the game, Eurico Camargo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canutama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flamengo Paranaense the free kick. Eurico Camargo kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Frédson Meira missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 23 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Eurico Trigo right hand side. Ulysses Secco charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulysses Secco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th minute, Ulysses Secco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eurico Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Abraão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jano Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Davi Abraão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Sidney de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Flamengo Paranaense's goalkeeper Sidney de Queirós, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Flamengo Paranaense's goal looked a bit too open when Jano Torres came free, but Sidney de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 39 played minutes Flamengo Paranaense got a freekick which was hit by Frédson Meira. Faustão Porto was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of Canutama booed when Flamengo Paranaense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frédson Meira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Nico Valadares made the kick off in the second half. Sidney de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davi Abraão in the 54th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Canutama's Raimundo Araújo got a free kick in the 57th minute. When Alex Abraão came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Flamengo Paranaense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Abraão couldn't finish the play. Eurico Camargo kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st minute of the match, Alex Abraão got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eurico Trigo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Davi Abraão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney de Queirós having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Osvaldo Recife hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute, Davi Abraão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sidney de Queirós was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. If Davi Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th match minute, Flamengo Paranaense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frédson Meira to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Jano Torres's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sidney de Queirós was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Canutama's Eurico Trigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Canutama from getting a goal against them.
