Nuguacu's Gil Vaz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Nuguacu from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Pedro Luiz Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jacare's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Luiz Figueiredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gil Vaz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Veloso in the 22nd minute of play forced Nuguacu's goalkeeper Gil Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacare's Marcel Veloso got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gil Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Dias in the 40th minute of play. After 40 minutes, Wiliam Travassos mouthed his way into the referee's book. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natanael Soares in the 46th minute of play forced Jacare's goalkeeper Valdo Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gláuber Queirós to strike the kick off in the second half. After 67 played minutes, Jacare's Alexsandro de Salles shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gil Vaz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jacare reached it. In the 69th minute, Marcel Veloso made a precise shot to the right of Gil Vaz. Nuguacu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. When William Freitas was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 73 minutes had been played. In the 74th match minute, Nuguacu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Freitas to maneuver through the defense. Noel Sabóia did an outstanding performance 75 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 4-0 to the right of an irritated Gil Vaz in the goal. In the 78th minute, Caetano Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luiz Guilherme Tróia was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 79th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The Jacare fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when Jacare's Marcel Veloso looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marcel Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Vaz having to interfere.
