Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Elano Capixaba got the match started through his kick off. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes into the match, Palmares SS's goalkeeper Eusébio Arósio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fellipe Aparecido. Ricardinho Tande lost his temper 30 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 29 minutes into the game, one of Palmares SS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Elano Capixaba's late challenge caught a Palmares SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elano Capixaba helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sporting 42's Elano Capixaba got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 37th minute, Hernani Marquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benê Falcão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eusébio Arósio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marcos Xavier showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 46 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
