In the 27thth minute of the game Ronaldinho Cabral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carnaubal SS's Beto de Medeiros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Samuca Neves scored 0-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Beto de Medeiros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Beto de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuca Neves in the 49th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sandrinho Carvalho made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Jitirana EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo Ramos to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 54 minutes, Sandrinho Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carnaubal SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandrinho Carvalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samuca Neves might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Beto de Medeiros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Samuca Neves ran back to his position shaking his head. Ronaldinho Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ronaldinho Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Baltazar Netto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sandrinho Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Leal having to interfere. Beto de Medeiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jitirana EC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
