After some careless play in the Laranjeiras FC defense, Matheus de Moraes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geraldo da Silveira. The Laranjeiras FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geraldo da Silveira should have stopped the shot. When Manfredo Barreto fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laranjeiras FC's protests and gave Manfredo Barreto a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Laranjeiras FC's Manfredo Barreto got a free kick in the 37th minute. Dé Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Laranjeiras FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
