The supporters of Imperium MZC booed when Paulista FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. César Tande didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernani Sanches recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 14 minutes into the game, Lino Prata was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Imperium MZC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paulista FC the free kick. 14 minutes into the game, one of Imperium MZC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Paulista FC a penalty, 16 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Luiz de Queiroz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Imperium MZC's Danilo Paranaense. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horácio da Costa in the 19th minute of play forced Imperium MZC's goalkeeper Danilo Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Renato Perez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enrique Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Danilo Paranaense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz de Queiroz hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. If Durvalino Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Pedro Mangueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Durvalino Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Durvalino Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pedro Mangueira having to interfere. When Renato Perez fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Imperium MZC's protests and gave Renato Perez a yellow card for diving instead. Renato Perez hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horácio da Costa in the 37th minute of play forced Imperium MZC's goalkeeper Danilo Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Enrique Catarinense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paulista FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrique Catarinense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danilo Paranaense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Danilo Paranaense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horácio da Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Horácio da Costa made a kick off. Igor Severo might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Danilo Paranaense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Igor Severo ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horácio da Costa in the 56th minute of play forced Imperium MZC's goalkeeper Danilo Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Durvalino Salles struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. José Pedro Mangueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Imperium MZC. 63 minutes into the game, Imperium MZC's Ernani Sanches nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Pedro Mangueira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 66 minutes into the match, Imperium MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Horácio da Costa came free, but Danilo Paranaense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Horácio da Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Danilo Paranaense having to make a save. After 78 minutes of play, Paulista FC's Enrique Catarinense made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danilo Paranaense was left in no man's land by his defense there! 82 minutes into the match, Paulista FC's goal looked a bit too open when Durvalino Salles came free, but José Pedro Mangueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danilo Paranaense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horácio da Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Imperium MZC's zone, Enrique Catarinense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo Paranaense came out of the goal and Enrique Catarinense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulista FC's Horácio da Costa was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 94th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When the final whistle sounded Paulista FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Imperium MZC.
