To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 20 minutes into the match, Bairrinho SS's Durvalino Mangueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Breno Galvão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Livramentense Sport Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bairrinho SS the free kick. In the 60th minute, Turgut Cambuquira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donato Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gernando Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bairrinho SS's Donato Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Turgut Cambuquira in the 71st minute of play. José Pedro Lira charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Pedro Lira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Bairrinho SS booed when Livramentense Sport Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Pedro Lira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Breno Galvão was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Donato Valle. Dorival Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Donato Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Dorival Koehler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Livramentense Sport Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Dorival Koehler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donato Garcia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dorival Koehler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Garcia having to interfere. Dorival Koehler scored 3-0 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Donato Garcia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
