Cido Favoretto charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cido Favoretto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to EC Guará - FPEMZ getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Cido Favoretto hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Galvão in the 6th minute of play forced EC Guará - FPEMZ's goalkeeper Hortêncio da Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cido Favoretto came free in the 14th minute and tried to tip the ball over Hermínio de Alcântara, but to the joy of Caputera's supporters the ball went over. Alex Armatys received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Hermínio de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hermínio de Alcântara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cido Favoretto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alex Armatys fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermínio de Alcântara having to interfere. Hortêncio da Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Galvão, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Linares in the 35th minute of play forced EC Guará - FPEMZ's goalkeeper Hortêncio da Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Alex Armatys hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hortêncio da Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Galvão in the 37th minute of the match. After having played for 40 minutes, Alex Armatys managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EC Guará - FPEMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Armatys was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute, Alex Armatys left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The EC Guará - FPEMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Alex Armatys made the kick off in the second half. Liudas Rekašius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Liudas Rekašius did an outstanding performance 64 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 2-1 to the right of an irritated Hermínio de Alcântara in the goal. 71 minutes into the match, EC Guará - FPEMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Linares came free, but Hortêncio da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hortêncio da Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Linares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute, Torgeir Lie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caputera's Hermínio de Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Armatys in the 82nd minute of play. Hermínio de Alcântara came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by EC Guará - FPEMZ's Torgeir Lie. But to his dismay, Torgeir Lie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Alfredo Galvão scored 3-2 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hortêncio da Rocha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. EC Guará - FPEMZ had played much better football throughout.
