Marcel Bezerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Adidas Ec's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Isaltino Dias fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Isaltino Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Marcel Bezerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Araça F.C.'s Ismael Dias got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Isaltino Dias sped through Adidas Ec's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcel Bezerra. When Baltazar Linhares fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Adidas Ec's protests and gave Baltazar Linhares a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Adidas Ec's Baltazar Linhares got a free kick in the 39th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Araça F.C.'s zone, José Valle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alex Rezende came out of the goal and José Valle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ismael Dias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jacinto Seco's late challenge caught a Adidas Ec's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacinto Seco helped the player get up and apologised. Jacinto Seco hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Araça F.C.'s Alex Rezende got control of the ball when José Valle tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Valle got free with Alex Rezende in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Baltazar Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The goalkeeper, Alex Rezende, was totally fooled by Adidas Ec's Jarbas de Godoi, who 96 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.
