In the 17th minute, Macacas SC's Geovani Berger ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Osvaldinho do Vale. Osvaldinho do Vale yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Haroldo Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Faustão Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osvaldinho do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdo Sá in the 25th minute of play. Geovani Berger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Macacas SC's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Araújo came free, but Humberto Trevisan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haroldo Coelho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Humberto Trevisan having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Haroldo Coelho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Humberto Trevisan was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Humberto Trevisan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustão Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Haroldo Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Trevisan having to interfere. A collision led to Macacas SC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Bruno Lago hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustão Batista in the 45th minute of play forced Macacas SC's goalkeeper Humberto Trevisan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Haroldo Coelho to strike the kick off in the second half. Valdo Sá recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Macacas SC booed when FC Mala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo Sá in the 55th minute of play forced FC Mala's goalkeeper Osvaldinho do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Macacas SC's Geovani Berger got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Haroldo Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Macacas SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Faustão Batista scored to the left of an out of position Humberto Trevisan, making the score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, FC Mala's Vivaldo Tavares got a free kick in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovani Berger in the 81st minute of play forced FC Mala's goalkeeper Osvaldinho do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Macacas SC's Valdo Sá in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Mala's goalie prevented a goal. In the 83rd match minute, FC Mala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustão Batista to maneuver through the defense. Haroldo Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Humberto Trevisan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Macacas SC's zone, Haroldo Coelho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Trevisan came out of the goal and Haroldo Coelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Haroldo Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Trevisan having to interfere. The Macacas SC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Mala were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
