The coaching staff of FC Pankakes protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Paulinho Freitas had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 10 minutes into the game, one of FC Pankakes:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Jamandua AD a penalty, 14 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by José Vítor Mello, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Pankakes's Arquímedes Arquett. 0-1. After a rather tough play, FC Pankakes's Egídio de Azevedo got a free kick in the 16th minute. Arquímedes Arquett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Vítor Mello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hamílton Secco to strike the kick off in the second half. Júlio Cearense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Geovânio Amorim's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Arquímedes Arquett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Vítor Mello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manfredo Vidal charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 80 played minutes FC Pankakes got a freekick which was hit by Manfredo Vidal. 82 minutes into the match, FC Pankakes's goal looked a bit too open when José Vítor Mello came free, but Arquímedes Arquett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Pankakes's Arquímedes Arquett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Vítor Mello in the 86th minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, FC Pankakes's goalkeeper Arquímedes Arquett had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Carlos Saldanha. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Jamandua AD had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
