Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dadá Linares kicked off to start the match. The Tabuleirao fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Tabuleirao's Rony Paes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dida Medeiros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teodoro Senna went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Tabuleirao's Dida Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Tabuleirao from getting a goal against them. Rony Paes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 范谦伟 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rony Paes, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The supporters of Mate booed when Tabuleirao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Cosme didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 20 minutes of play, Mate's Dadá Linares made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dida Medeiros was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lauro Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. If Wellington Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rony Paes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 范谦伟 having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Mate's goal looked a bit too open when Wellington Moreno came free, but 范谦伟 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th match minute, Mate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Senna to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dadá Linares in the 38th minute of play forced Tabuleirao's goalkeeper Dida Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rony Paes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. 范谦伟 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rony Paes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

55 minutes into the match, Mate's goalkeeper 范谦伟 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rony Paes. Thanks to some nice moves Rony Paes could shoot a difficult shot in the 57th minute, which 范谦伟 however easily saved by the left post. If Rony Paes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Emanuel Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 范谦伟 was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ramiro Mello. 范谦伟 didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rony Paes went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Tabuleirao's Dida Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Senna in the 72nd minute of play. When Wilton Borges fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tabuleirao's protests and gave Wilton Borges a yellow card for diving instead. Wilton Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 76th minute Eliézer Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tabuleirao's Dida Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lauro Moreira in the 79th minute of play. Emanuel Cosme hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Dida Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliézer Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Cosme might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over 范谦伟. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emanuel Cosme ran back to his position shaking his head. Dida Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dadá Linares in the 94th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dadá Linares in the 96th minute of play forced Tabuleirao's goalkeeper Dida Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 97 played minutes Tabuleirao got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Cosme. Tabuleirao's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
