The tension between the Grêmio Reitoria F.C and the Canarinho FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Garcilaso Cabanela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Braga, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Canarinho FC's zone, Marco Antunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeremias Brodel came out of the goal and Marco Antunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lino Braga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Garcilaso Cabanela made a huge save. Lino Braga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Garcilaso Cabanela when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lino Braga's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Garcilaso Cabanela skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Marco Antunes did an outstanding performance 71 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 2-2 to the right of an irritated Jeremias Brodel in the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnaldo de Brito during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Arnaldo de Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Lenílson Falcão struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Jeremias Brodel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grêmio Reitoria F.C.
