Luizinho Freitas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ademar da Fonseca went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Ademar da Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the game, Inugami's Valério Leme nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luizinho Freitas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ademar da Fonseca was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Nilton Quintal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Nilton Quintal took a quick shot and it went in 5-3 without a chance for Enrique Reis to make any attempt to save it. Chicão Silveira hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in J.J CALDAS's zone, Valério Leme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luizinho Freitas came out of the goal and Valério Leme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, J.J CALDAS's José Vítor Vasconcelos got a free kick in the 70th minute. Inugami's Armandinho Loyola got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 5-4 when Nilton Quintal sped through Inugami's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Enrique Reis. In the 80thth minute of the game Ademar da Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but J.J CALDAS's Luizinho Freitas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luizinho Freitas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ademar da Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nilton Quintal in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enrique Reis saved Inugami from getting behind. Nilton Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Reis having to interfere.
