Rafinha Madureira came out of the goal and Eriberto Corrêa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Orlando Salles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafinha Madureira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In the 19th minute Eriberto Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafinha Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. União Barbarense's Osmar Braga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save União Barbarense from getting a goal against them. Wilian Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osmar Braga having to interfere. If André de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Orlando Salles to strike the kick off in the second half. Eriberto Corrêa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Rafinha Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osmar Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André de Azevedo in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Wilian Perez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The São Vicente FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 67 minutes into the game, Cláudio Cardozo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. São Vicente FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave União Barbarense the free kick. São Vicente FC's André de Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, União Barbarense's Benê Lara got a free kick in the 72nd minute. André de Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilian Perez in the 75th minute of play forced União Barbarense's goalkeeper Osmar Braga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of União Barbarense booed when São Vicente FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edinho Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute André de Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osmar Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that São Vicente FC were the better team. São Vicente FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
